Computerized Assessment of Postural Stability (CAPS) is a state-of-the-art dynamic posturography system that is used to measure balance and postural control. CAPS allows us to measure your sway patterns, which provides us a detailed understanding of your global postural stability. The CAPS unit measures your center of pressure on a specialized plate. Following a concussion (or mild traumatic brain injury), we typically see a center of pressure that is posterior (or backwards) relative to the center of gravity.
